Sindh Assembly approves budget for 2021-2022

KARACHI (June 25, 2021) The Sindh Assembly approved next year’s budget of the Sindh province for 2021-2022.

Opposition members chanted “Go Corruption Go” in the House.

Earlier, the supplementary budget for the financial year 22-2021 was presented in the Sindh Assembly. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah presented the demands of the supplementary budget.

The opposition did not file any cut motion in the supplementary budget demands.

Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that the new financial year budget was passed in the Sindh Assembly today, the opposition did not take any interest in the budget process.

Opposition took no interest

Talking to media, Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that the Sindh Assembly unanimously passed the budget 22-2021.

He said that Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani held a meeting with the opposition. He gave two days to the opposition to make budget speeches and submit cut motions.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that the opposition did not submit any cut motion, nor did it take any interest in the budget process.
