Shehbaz Sharif proposes 8 names for members of ECP
Prime Minister approves 5-day holiday on Eid
LAHORE Sep 18,2021- Shahbaz Sharif proposed six new names for Punjab and three for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif responded to a letter from Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding appointment of two members to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
From Punjab the names of Justice (retd) Tariq Iftikhar, Justice (retd) Mushtaq Ahmed, Muhammad Javed Anwar and Irfan Qadir.
While for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa opposition leaders has proposed the names of Syed Afsar Shah, Sardar Hussain Shah and Sohail Altaf. ۔
Shehbaz Sharif reminded that serious, sincere and genuine consultation of the Prime Minister with the Leader of the Opposition is necessary for the appointment of members of Election Commission of Pakistan.
