DADU (June 4, 2021): PPP leader and former federal minister Zafar Ali Laghari died in a private hospital in Karachi.
His son former MNA Imran Laghari confirmed the death of his father. Zafar Ali Khan Laghari known as a politician near worker class started his career in politics from the Pakistan Peoples Party platform in 1967 and remained affiliated with PPP till his death.
He played very active role in MRD movement of 1983.
The party appointed Zafar Ali Khan Laghari was president of Dadu district in 1985.
Bhutto loyalist Laghari served as federal minister for railways in 1988 during first tenure of Benazir Bhutto.
Later, provincial minister of industry during the caretaker government in 1991 and provincial minister of irrigation in 1994.
He spent his life in the service of the party and the people. The late Zafar Laghari was one of the leaders who represented the in true sense.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expresses deep sorrow over the passing away of senior leader and former minister Haji Zafar Ali Laghari.
He paid tributes and said Late Zafar Brown was an asset of the party; his demise is irreparable loss.
He always be remembered in the history for sacrifices in the struggle against the dictatorship, Bilawal said.
