SANA backs struggle against illegal occupation of lands in Sindh

Sindhi Association of North America (SANA) has supported  the people of Sindh in their struggle against the illegal occupation of lands and dispossession of the indigenous people of their homes, villages, streams & means of livelihood by Bahria Town.

In a statement issued in New Jersey, USA, president of SANA Khalid Chana urged the people of Sindh to fully support the struggle against illegal activities of Bahria Town in and around Karachi and to participate in big numbers in the protest on 6th June. He said SANA members will participate in a rally in New York City, NY on 6th June against illegal activities of Bahria Town.

SANA president said Bahria Town must stop all its illegal activities. He said Supreme Court decision in this regards must be fully implemented & the amount of penalty to be recovered from Bahria Town must be spent in the area.

SANA president also said it is the responsibility of the Sindh Government to protect the rights of the people of Sindh. He called upon the Sindh government to stop Bahria Town from its illegal occupation of lands of the local people instead of aiding and abetting the Bahria Town management.

SANA president reaffirmed the pledge that the North American Sindhi organization, SANA, will always stand for the rights of the people of Sindh.
