Renowned Sindhi writer Ghulam Hussain Rangrez dies
THATTA Sep 02,2021- Renowned writer Ghulam Hussain Rangrez passed away after protracted illness in Karachi hospital on Thursday morning.
Ghulam Hussain Rangrez was laid to rest at Meon Abdullah Cemetery in Mirpur Bathoro. He was poet, researcher and educationist.
Rangrez has also served as Central General Secretary of Sindhi Adabi Sangat.
Ghulam Hussain Rangrez was born on April 18, 1945 in the house of Shafi Muhammad Katti in Mirpur Bathoro. In 1984, he was appointed as a lecturer in Teacher Training College, Mirpur Bathoro.
He retired in 1994, started practicing law regularly in 1995 and remained associated with it till the death. His first poetry book is “Akhin ujj uppar” and other different books are “Sarmad Cha tho Soche”, “Wakhar So Wahi”, “ Ghulam Ja Thekra”, “Sonh Suhai Soch” and his autobiography “ Khana Badosh Rooh Ji katha”. He also contributed columns to Sindh newspapers with title “Je chawan sach”, and “wechara Dhara”.
A large number of lawyers, traders, writers including MNA Ayaz Shirazi, Aslam Khairpuri, Chairman JSQM Arisar, Dr. Qadir Magsi, Chairman Sindh Tarqi Passand Party, Dr. Niaz Kalani, Taj Joyo, Nawaz Khan Zaur, Dr. Muhammad Ali Manjhi, Mushkhur Phulkaro, traders and lawyers attended his funeral prayers.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed sorrow over sad demise of renowned Sindh writer Ghulam Hussain Rangrez.
