PPP not fulfilled promise, MQM asks Prime Minister to play his role

KARACHI, Aug 9,2022 – Coordination committee of MQM Pakistan has said that the People’s Party has not fulfilled its promise regarding the Sindh Local Government Act. The coordination committee appealed to Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to play a role.

Convener Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that it is the responsibility of the federal and Sindh governments to maintain allaince, when will they implement the agreements with MQM? he asked and demanded the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to play his role in this critical situation.

The pressure of workers and people is increasing on MQM, they want us to take a decision in this situation Maqbool Siddiqui said while presiding over a meeting of the coordination committee held at Bahadurabad, the headquarters of MQM.

MQM leader demands to stop LB polls immediately

The coordination committee, while expressing concern over the delay in the implementation of the above agreements, especially called the behavior of the Sindh government as irresponsible.

MQM ,embers of the Coordination Committee said that the People’s Party had promised to prepare the Local Government Act of Sindh in accordance with Article 140A according to the decision of the Supreme Court, but despite repeated negotiations for more than 3 months, it has not been implemented due to its reckless attitude. The recommendations could not be implemented while the constituencies in Sindh were done by the provincial government instead of the Election Commission. (Agencies)
