Poor flood affected people get cash assistance to lessen miseries
In the wake of 2022 super floods in Sindh, people living in makeshifts and damaged villages in Badin district got cash assistance to survive and lessen the miseries of floods.
Research and Development Foundation (RDF) together with International Rescue Committee is assisting flood affected survivors in Badin, Khairpur and Dadu districts of Sindh with provision of unconditional cash grants to help reduce miseries of the floods.
Mostly women were selected to be the recipient of the cash grants, as flood has left enormous impacts on their lives. RDF and International Rescue Committee has also set up women and girls safer spaces in the affected villages, camps to provide real time psycho-social, protection and health assistance through medical camps.

Cash grants are being transferred through Habib Bank limited at the door step of beneficiaries. The campaign is ongoing and so far, 230 women in Badin,184 in Dadu and 173 in Khairpur have received the cash.
Each beneficiary receives PKR. 15000 to meet expenditures of the daily needs. RDF-International Rescue committee aim to assist total 2345 women in all these districts with provision of the cash grants.
