Pakistan No. 1 youngest girl table tennis player appeals for NOC

KARACHI Sep 24,2021- Pakistan’s number one the youngest girl table tennis player Perniya Khan has appealed to the Pakistan Sports Board to issue her NOC and provide funds for the Asian Table Tennis Championship.

She has said that she wants to perform in the Asian Table Tennis Championships with other athletes so that she can continue her qualifying journey for future World Championships and Olympics and go to the South Asian Games with good preparation and perform there.

The Asian Table Tennis Championship is being played in Doha from September 28 and so far no NOC has been issued to the Pakistan table tennis team and no funds have been arranged for them.

The team consists of 10 male and female players. They have to reach Doha on September 25 in any case, while they have to make an entry after receiving the NOC.

Perniya Khan has recently won the National Table Tennis Championship in Quetta and is the youngest National Champion. She has been a two-time National Junior Champion and a two-time Masters Champion.

Perniya Khan requested Pakistan Sports Board to give us NOC nowadays, so that we can go to Asian Table Tennis Championship and perform a good game and added, if we participate in international events, only then we will compete the world. Athletes are told that they do not perform well globally, players will only perform well if they receive consistent international exposure. 

Pakistan’s number one table female tennis player has said that the previous events in Indonesia and Hungary have been missed in the same way and it seems that this event will also be missed due to not getting NOC, it is very disappointing. Waiting for the NOC which also affects the training, some way should be found so that the players do not have to face this problem, their focus should be only on the training.
