Opposition may submit no-confidence motion tomorrow

LAHORE, March 8,2022- Opposition has completed political and legal consultation, sources said no-confidence motion will be submitted on March 9.

After legal consultation, it is decided that a motion will be brought against the Prime Minister and the Speaker at the same time. Legal experts said that the renovation of the Assembly Hall is not a problem.

Leading media outlets quoting the reliable sources said that the matter will be resolved before the end of this month.

No confidence motion: Top Opposition leaders to meet daily basis

According to sources, the opposition will discuss the activities of Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan Group today. If this group contacts the united opposition, there would be a two-day extension in presenting the no-confidence motion.

Sources said that two government ministers are expected to resign before or shortly after the motion is presented, media reported.

Political analysts said that it is really disturbing to see Aleem Khan group came up with a shocking appearance and to join hands with the PTI’s Jahangir group on the same day, when the opposition was ready to summon the national Assembly session to bring a no-confidence movement against the Prime Minister.

The party was already busy securing the votes of the its own MNAs and allies of its party. So far, all efforts to ram up the Jahangir group or the Q-League’s support for PM remained unsuccessful. Another problem is that PTI’s Aleem Khan and Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind have suddenly become active.
