Opposition files no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri

No-confidence motion also filed against KP Chief Minister

ISLAMABAD, April 8,2022- The Opposition has filed a no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri.

Opposition leader Murtaza Javed Abbasi submitted a no-confidence motion to the Secretary National Assembly.

According to the text of the no-confidence motion, Qasim Khan Suri has set the worst example while running the House. He should be removed from the post of Deputy Speaker National Assembly.

The text of the motion said that the Deputy Speaker has violated the rules and parliamentary, democratic traditions. Qasim Suri also violated the constitutional provisions while running the House.

According to the text of the no-confidence motion, the deputy speaker took a partisan stance in support of the government.
The motion said, the Supreme Court of Pakistan declared the rolling of the Deputy Speaker unconstitutional. Qasim Suri deliberately sabotaged the constitution. His action falls under the category of Article 6.

No-confidence motion against KP Chief Minister

In another development, a no-confidence motion has been filed against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

ANP parliamentary leader Sardar Hussain Babak, provincial senior vice president Khushdal Khan Advocate, MPA Shagufta Malik and others from the united opposition filed a no-confidence motion against the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
