Opposition claims to take more than 172 votes: no-confidence motion

ISLAMABAD, March 8,2022- Opposition leaders have claimed to take more than 172 members to the National Assembly for no-confidence motion.

President of Muslim League-N leader od opposition Shehbaz Sharif, co-chairman of the PPP and former president Asif Ali Zardari, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and PDM chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman held a joint news conference.

In an initial conversation with the media, Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif said that the no-confidence motion was kept secret, which was followed by everyone.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari said in his talk that the opposition thought same way on the issue of non-confidence of motion and it was now or never.

The journalist cited the failure of the opposition in past to bring the required number of votes in the parliament.

Responding to this, the former president said, “We will bring more than 172 members to the parliament. PTI’s own people have distanced.”

He added that journalists want me to tell them the number of members I ask, should I not tell you all the names? The whole hall echoed with laughter.
