No-trust move against PTI govt was brought on behest of Gen Bajwa: Maulana Fazl

Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the no-confidence motion against the founder PTI government was brought at the behest of General (r) Bajwa, at the time of the no-confidence motion, General (r) Bajwa and Lt Gen (Rtd) Faiz Hameed were in touch.

An interview to private TV, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that he was not in favour of no-confidence, the no-confidence movement was being run by the PPP,  while he wanted the then government to be removed through the movement.

JUI chief claimed that Gen (Rtd) Faiz Hameed came to him and said, whatever  you do that should be  within the system, and added doing it within the system means doing it within the assemblies, which Maulana  he refused.
Fazlur Rahman further said that when people of PTI, Balochistan Awami Party and MQM joined the move,  it was said that we have majority now. “If I had refused the no-confidence motion, it would have been said that I saved the founder of PTI”, JUI chief said.

He said that when PTI people and allies were coming to us, General Bajwa and General Faiz were in touch with us. In the presence of retired General Bajwa and General (R) Faiz, all the parties were called and were told what and how they have to do. General Bajwa and General Faiz said to all the parties regarding the no-confidence that what you have to do, later PPP and PML-N put a stamp on it.

The JUI chief said that the rigging took place in 2018 as well, it still happened, apparently the Muslim League-N benefited from the election rigging. Now decisions will be made in the field and not in the House.
