No cut being administered to Manchhar Lake or Main Nara Valley Drain, CM assures
Meeting after 24 hours to decide after reviewing the situation
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that no cut is being administered to Manchhar Lake or Main Nara Valley Drain – MNV drain, we will try to save Dadu city.
The Chief Minister of Sindh rejected all the rumours, while talking to the media after visiting Manchar Lake, Murad Ali Shah said that the water level in Manchhar Lake is 120.85 RL.
He said that the danger will increase after the level of the lake reaches 123 RL.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reviewed the fences installed at Zero Point of Manchhar Lake and Johi Branch at Kari Mori.
Briefing the Chief Minister, the Irrigation Department has said that the first line of defense to avoid floods has been blocked by the FP Bund, and the second line of defense, MNV Drain, is under severe pressure.

In the briefing, it was told that the third defense line Superio Bund has 5 breaches, water has entered 15 union councils of Johi, only Johi town is spared.
Earlier, as the heavy machinery arrived at the MNV Drain near Dadu, the villagers carrying arrived there.
Chief Minister of Sindh visited the flood affected areas on right bank of Indus river all day today and called this meeting .
Indus river flow will lower till Sept 10
He told the participants that the water that has reached Khairpur Nathan Shah will fall into the MNV Drain and we are waiting for the water to be released from the Indus River by September 8 or 10.
He said that the water of Khairpur Nathan Shah will go out, when the water will outflow from Manchhar , which was agreed between the engineers of the Irrigation Department and Corps present in the meeting.
The Irrigation Department officers told the meeting that by strengthening the dam of Indus Link, a regulator can be installed on it.
60-feet breach in Dhoro Puran
On this occasion, the Corps Engineer told in his briefing that a 60-feet breach has occurred on the Left Bank: Dhoro Puran near Jhudo. This water will affect Saman Sarkar, Deh Pahor and Dhoro Kaka while there is considerable pressure on LBOD. He told the Chief Minister that Pakistan Army has rescued 3000 people.
Meeting after 24 hours to decide after reviewing the situation
It was decided in the meeting that currently no cut will be made in any embankment and after 24 hours a meeting will be held and further decisions will be taken after reviewing the situation.
Chief Minister Sindh said that efforts are being made to save all cities from further damage without any cuts.
