New corona virus variant named “Omicron”, classed more dangerous

The World Health Organization (WHO) has dubbed a new variant of the corona virus found in South Africa Omicron’, a matter of grave concern.

Various countries have banned flights from African countries due to fears of a new strain of the virus.

The Corona Command and Control Center in Dubai said in a statement that the UAE had banned flights from African countries.

According to the statement, due to the new type of Corona, other countries including South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia have been banned. From November 29, those coming from African countries will not be allowed to enter Dubai. 

According to foreign media, France has suspended air service to African countries for 48 hours due to fears of the spread of the new type of Corona “Omicron”.

On the other hand, Russia has also announced travel bans against the African country Hong Kong. 

According to the news agency, the ban on foreigners coming to Russia from Hong Kong will be applied from tomorrow.

Russian officials say no case has been reported in Russia of a new type of corona, the “Omicron”.
