NEPRA to consider another increase of Rs 4.75 in electricity price

The Central Power Purchasing Agency has requested NEPRA to increase the price of electricity by Rs. 4.75 per unit.
The request to increase the price of electricity was made in the context of the October fuel price adjustment, which will be heard on November 30.
If approval accorded, the burden of Rs. 61 billion will be shifted on the consumers. The request for increase has been made for all electricity distribution companies except K-Electric.
Electricity prices in Karachi up by 3.64 per unit
On the other hand, the K-Electric also requested NEPRA to increase the price of electricity by 29 paisa per unit, which will be heard on December 2.
