MPA Jam Owais arrested in Nazim Jokhio murder case

PPP Sindh Assembly member Jam Owais, arrested in the murder case of Nazim Jokhio, has been remanded into police custody for three days.
MPA Jam Owais was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Malir on Friday.
Police told the court that the accused MPA Jam Owais had voluntarily surrendered on Thursday.
The investigating officer informed the court that the heirs of the slain Nazim Jokhio have nominated MPA Jam Owais in the case, while the two accused already arrested Haider and Mir Ali are farmhouse employees.

On this occasion, Judicial Magistrate Malir summoned the progress report of Nazim Jokhio murder case at the next hearing and besides remanded MPA Jam Owais and other two arrested accused in police custody for three days.
Jam Owais, member of Sindh Assembly, nominated in was arrested in the murder of young Nazim Jokhio at Memon Goth police station, which was also confirmed by SSP Malir.
PPP MPA from Malir Sajid Jokhio had assured the protesters on Thursday that the remaining two accused will also be arrested by this evening.
Eight member team to investigate case
According to DIG Police East Zone Karachi, Saqib Ismail Memon, an eight-member investigation team of police officers headed by SSP Malir Irfan Ali Bahadur has been formed on the directives of higher authorities to conduct a transparent and impartial inquiry into the murder case of Nazim Jokhio.
Other members of the team included SP Investigation Malir Arab Mahar, SP Investigation East Altaf Hussain, DSP Memon Goth Kanwar Asif Sarfraz, DSP Investigation East-I Yousuf Jamal, Inspector Investigation Fariduddin, SIO Sachal Mukhtar. Panwar and SIO Shah Latif Town Ghulam Mujtaba Bajwa.
The investigation team has started work immediately.
