Move for reducing disqualification of Nawaz Sharif to 5 years

Nawaz Sharif advised to boycott the 3-member bench of the Supreme Court in the case of delay in elections
LAHORE, Aug 18,2022- Pakistan Muslim League -N is paving the way for Nawaz Sharif’s return home.
The move to the end of Nawaz Sharif’s lifelong disqualification in on. It is learned that the Ministry of Law and other relevant institutions are reviewing the constitution and laws to determine the period of disqualification.
According to the sources, in the upcoming session of the National Assembly, there is a possibility that the disqualification period will be reduced to 5 years, which will end the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif.
Pakistan Muslim League sources, a simple majority is enough for this legislation.

Nawaz Sharif is the longest-serving prime minister of Pakistan and has served as the Prime Minister for three terms.
In 2017, Nawaz was removed from office by the Supreme Court of Pakistan after the Panama Papers case.
In 2018, the Supreme Court disqualified Sharif from holding public office, and he was also sentenced to ten years in prison by an accountability court.
The Imran Khan government did not allow him for medical treatment. The Islamabad High Court granted him bail on humanitarian grounds in October 2019, and Nawaz Sharif went to London for medical treatment
Since then he is in London for medical treatment.
