Mirpurkhas lawyer known for advocating hemp consumption legal arrested
MIRPURKHAS: Senior lawyer Amanullah Soomro was arrested for demolition of a divider wall constructed by the district administration to avoid traffic jams in the city.
Soomro engaged labour to get demolish the divider wall constructed for easy traffic flow. The senior lawyer has been arrested and locked up at Town Police station.
A case has been registered against senior laywer Amanullah Soomro at the complaint of Traffic Incharge Muhammad Fayyaz under Sections 504, 186 and 431 for damaging public roads and obstructing in duties of government employees.
Amanullah Soomro has filed a petition in the court against the divider wall, on which the court has asked the DSP Complaint Cell to report the matter by April 21.
Mr Soomro is known for filing petitions on human interest issues. Some time back he file a petition that consumption and sale of hemp be legally allowed.
