Local body election in the federal capital Islamabad postponed

What is the expected date of general elections in Pakistan?
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to make new delimitations within 65 days and announce the local body election schedule.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition of PML-N, PPP and PTI regarding local body elections in the capital Islamabad.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah asked the officials of the Election Commission what the decision of the Election Commission had made.
ECP officials said that the Election Commission given an explanatory position on the local body elections under the government notification.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah asked, “Tell me, in how many days will the election be held?”
The ECP officials replied that elections could be held in 60 to 65 days.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah directed the Election Commission of Pakistan to look into the matter and not to transfer votes from one ward to another.
Election Commission officials said that first they will make new delimitation, then they will give the schedule of local body elections and added, the court should order the federal government to cooperate for the local body elections.
The court ordered the federal government to fulfill its constitutional responsibility for local body elections.
