Left wing peasant leader Comrade Sahito laid to rest in Mehrabpur
NOWSHERO FEROZE: Comrade Ghulam Rasool Sahito, leader of Sindh Hari Committee and Communist Party, was laid to rest in Mehrabpur Tehsil of Nowshero Feroze. He died in Hyderabad on Saturday after a protracted illness.
A long walk of Comrade Sahito for revolution through Sindh National Students Federation, Sindh Hari Committee ended with his death.
Sahito was a hard and committed worker of Left wing. He worked with communist leaders Comrade Jam Saqi, Nazeer Abbasi, Prof Jamal Naqvi, Afrasiab Khattak, Bacha Khan, Moula Bux Khaskheli.
Comrade Sahito played pivotal role in reuniting the Sindh Hari Committee in 80s.
During rift in CPP, he stood with Minority Group.
During PPP government, he organized long march from Hyderabad to Islamabad for the rights of farmers and also went on hunger strike in Islamabad for more than 100 days. The comrade was also likened to Anna Hazare of Sindh who was a peasant leader of India.
The funeral of the comrade was attended by political activists and fan accross Sindh and Balochistan.
Rafiq Khoso and Rahim Bakhsh Jafri of Balochistan, Imdad Chandio, Sher Muhammad Mangrio, Urs Seelero, Saleh Biloo, Hashim Khoso of Jeay Sindh Front, right activist Panhal Sario, journalist Sohail Sangi, Lala Hassan Pathan, Muhammad khan Solangi, Mahesh Kumar, Abdash Panhwar, Israr Langah, and others expressed deep sorrow and paid tribute to his services.
