Kidnapped polling staff rescued from dacoits
Staff kidnapped from a polling station during the local body elections in Kandhkot have been rescued.
Police said talks between police and dacoits were successful in rescuing the abducted staff from the UC 28 polling station.
According to police, the dacoits released all 11 staff members while polling resumed at the polling station seven hours later.
It may be recalled that the polling staff was abducted from UC Darr Polling Station No. 28 Nihal Jaffery in Kandhkot district of Sindh.

According to police, the polling staff was abducted by a gang of thugs while the dacoits also took the polling material with them.
Armed men allegedly attacked the polling station of Tori Bungalow and abducted 11 people, including Presiding Officers Mushtaq Ahmed Malik, Imran Ali Malik, Niamatullah Soomro, Iqbal Ali Lohar, Ayaz Ali, Ghulam Ali, Mansoor Sahirani, Khadim, Irshad Ali And Ashfaq
The abductees had 8 polling staff, while three PPP agents were involved, including armed ballot papers, boxes and stamps.
