Karachi turns to be costliest city of Pakistan

KARCHI June 27, 2021: Karachi has turned to be costliest city of Pakistan. According to a weekly report on inflation, Karachi is the most expensive city in the country.

Weekly report of Bureau of Statistics Pakistan says the metropolitan city Karachi received about 91% higher prices last week and similarly, essential items were sold up to 39% higher than the official rates.

Punjab was second in inflation with a 38% increase in prices.

According to the survey report, the price of 20 kg flour in Karachi was Rs 343, milk Rs 65, sugar Rs 25, beef Rs 291, broken rice Rs 50 and potatoes Rs 4 more than the official rates.
