KARACHI: Three mobile phones snatchers arrested

KARACHI, May 1,2023- Three mobile phones snatchers who used to send cell sets to Iran and Afghanistan were arrested.

Suspects have been arrested near Malir Cantt Mor on the Super Highway, police said.

26 valuable mobile phones, three pistols and more than 50 mobile sim cards have been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.

According to the police, the arrested suspects are members of an inter-provincial dacoity group, identified as Abdul Manan, Jamaluddin Nasir and Muhammad Farhan.

With the help of accomplices, the accused used to change the IMEI number of snatched mobile phones and send them to Quetta, Iran and Afghanistan through a mobile courier company.

The accused have revealed that they snatched more than 500 mobile phones in one year and supplied them to neighboring countries.

Several mobile phone parts have also been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.
