Karachi: Police from lodging cases for not having vaccination cards

KARACHI Sep 25,2021- Additional IG Karachi Yaqub Minhas stopped the police from registering cases against the citizens for not having corona virus vaccination card.

Additional IG Karachi Yaqub Minhas directed the police to limit their operations to wedding halls, hotels and entertainment venues and said that action should be taken in public places in the presence of Assistant Commissioner.

More than 2 dozen cases were registered in the city on Friday and about 40 people were arrested for not having vaccination cards.

According to police officials, the cases were registered under the Infectious Diseases Act 2014.

Order to check vaccine certificate in Sindh

Police officials said that the Sindh Home Department’s letter is not clear about the operations.

It should be noted that the Sindh Home Department had made it mandatory for the staff of public dealing agencies to be vaccinated against corona virus.

The Sindh Home Department had also made it mandatory for staff to be vaccinated in transport, industries and markets.

Corona virus Situation in Sindh

The number of corona virus patients in Sindh has risen to 454,510 more than other provinces, bringing the total death toll to 7,327.


According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 2,060 more cases of corona virus have been reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, with another 42 deaths.
