Inside story of Prime Minister meeting with Pro-Tareen lawmakers

What happened in the meeting of Jehangir Tareen’s lawmakers and the Prime Minister? Both sides have different claims and own version.
Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies of the Jahangir Tareen Group called on the Prime Minister.
Lawmakers claimed that Imran Khan has agreed to remove Shehzad Akbar.
Sources said that the Prime Minister refused to accept any pressure on the ongoing investigation of the Sugar Commission.
Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan told the PTI lawmakers delegation that the purpose of my coming to the government is to establish the justice system, any responsible including Jahangir Tareen will have to face action according to the law.
However he assure the Jehangir Tareen supporters that there would be no discrimination during the entire operation.
The Prime Minister said that if anyone thinks that he would stop the investigation under pressure, he was making a big mistake.
Prime Minister has nominated Senator Ali Zafar to listen to the concerns of the like-minded group.
Senator Ali Zafar will also review the FIA cases and give his opinion. Senator Ali Zafar will give a briefing to the Prime Minister after hearing the concerns of likeminded group. Sources said that the Prime Minister rejected Raja Riaz’s objection to the nomination of Senator Ali Zafar.
The Prime Minister said that many of you later joined the PTI.
Speaking to the media after the meeting with the prime minister, PTI MNA from Faisalabad Raja Riaz said that the prime minister has assured the group that he is “personally monitoring” the inquiry against Tareen and will see to it that justice is served.
“The prime minister has asked for some time and InshaAllah justice will be served,” the PTI leader added.
Raja Riaz claimed that the Prime Minister accepted their all demands and assured that justice would be done in any case, he would not allow anyone to be harmed.
Raja Riaz said that we have put all the reservations about Shahzad Akbar before the Prime Minister, and hope he will do justice.
“The prime minister told us to leave the matter to me, I will not allow anyone to be harmed,” he said.
Nazir Chauhan said that the Prime Minister listened to us in detail, we put our reservations before him, and he assured to look into the matter.
He said that during the meeting we demanded to take cases from Shehzad Akbar’s team and hand over the matter to an impartial team.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry has said that it has been made clear to the supporters of Jahangir Tareen that the investigation will not be stopped.
Analysts say, prime minister held assurance to look into the matter and succeeded to buy time.
The federal minister added that Prime Minister Imran Khan had made it clear in a meeting with his supporters that the FIA would not be stopped from investigating.
