Industrialists agree not to use gas in factories one day a week: Sindh Governor

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that the industrialists have voluntarily agreed not to use gas in their factories one day in a week while gas will be supplied to them with full pressure for the remaining six days.
The governor said the decision was taken at a meeting of the Sindh Industrial Liaison Committee, which was attended by industrialists as well as officials from the Ministry of Energy and Sui Southern.
The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere in which the industrialists voluntarily agreed not to use gas in the factories one day a week.
It should be noted that the Sindh Industrial Liaison Committee (SILC) deals with the issues of industries related to the federal government and this committee has been resolving issues arising between industries and industrial associations in a cordial manner.
