Increase in petroleum products prices announced
Anticipated reduction in petrol prices in January
The government has increased the prices of petroleum products.
Petrol price has been increased by Rs 14.85 per liter, after which the new price became Rs 248.74 per liter.
The price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs 13.23, after which the new price has gone up to Rs 276.54 paise.
After an increase of Rs 18.68 per liter in the price of light diesel, the new price became Rs 226.15 per liter.
The price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 18.83 and the new price has been increased by Rs 230.26.
10% regulatory duty imposed on petrol
Petroleum levy has been imposed on petrol at Rs 10 per liter, while diesel, kerosene and light diesel have been levied at Rs 5 per liter.
The finance ministry said, the new prices will take effect tonight at 12 o clock.
