Illegal Marriage Case: Witnesses testify in court against former chairman PTI, Bushra Bibi
ISLAMABAD, Dec 5,2023: In the ongoing legal proceedings of the illegal marriage case against the former Chairman of PTI and Bushra Bibi, four witnesses have now testified in the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad.
The case was presided over by Civil Judge Qudratullah.
One of the witnesses, Muhammad Latif, shared in his statement that the former Chairman of PTI would frequently visit Bushra Bibi’s residence, entering her room on occasion. Latif further revealed that during these visits, he would be asked to leave the room, and he alleged instances of verbal abuse by both individuals.
Recording his statement in the presence of the petitioner’s lawyer, Rizwan Abbasi, Muhammad Latif detailed his experiences during the time in question.
In response to questions from Civil Judge Qudratullah, the witness was asked about the alleged weakening due to emotional distress. Latif clarified that the former PTI chairman and Bushra Bibi did not let him sit in the room.
The court has now called for arguments regarding the admissibility of the case, and the hearing has been adjourned until December 8. It’s worth noting that Mohammad Latif Khawar, a domestic servant of Manika, is one of the witnesses in the case, and statements from Aun Chaudhry and Mufti Saeed have also been recorded.
The legal proceedings continue to unfold, shedding light on the intricacies of the case, and further developments are expected as the court reconvenes in December.
