Former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Ghaus Ali Shah has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Former Federal Minister Syed Zafar Ali Shah and Barrister Murtaza Mahisar have also joined PTI.
The political leaders announced their formal participation in the PTI after meeting Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Governor House. The Prime Minister welcomed the political leaders to the party and wore party mufflers.
Syed Ghaus Ali Shah was the Provincial head of the PML-N Sindh.
Syed Ghaus Ali Shah has long association with PMLN, but differences cropped up after Mushraff era, party chief Nawaz Sharif and Ghaus Ali Shah.
Veteran politician Ghaus Ali Shah 87, had a family over property issue in October 2020, he at a press conference accused his sons and grandsons of planning to murder him. Later, this dispute was reportedly resolved.
Shah has faced his share of criticism among the party ranks. Party workers opposed his nomination as PML-N’s Sindh president in 2012 citing damages to PML-N’s image during his long tenure on the post.
