Fed govt to launch 911 helpline in Karachi
KARACHI, Dec 22, 2021- The federal government has decided to start 911 helpline for the convenience of the people in Karachi.
After Islamabad, this helpline service is being launched in collaboration with the Government of Sindh and it has been decided to establish an office in the KDA Civic Center.
The helpline service will operate round the clock in shifts and, on a telephone call, departments will arrive to assist with in emergencies, including fire brigade, ambulance service, NDMA, PDMA, police and other departments.
According to sources, the designated Additional Secretary to the Government of Sindh inspected the vacant floors and offices in the Civic Center with the DG KDA on Tuesday to set up office for helpline.
