ISLAMABAD – Jul- 21, 2021:  The daughter of a former Pakistani diplomat was murdered in the city, police said Tuesday.

The deceased identified as Noor Mukadam, 27 years – was the daughter of former diplomat Shaukat Mukadam, who served as Pakistan’s ambassador to South Korea and Kazakhstan.

The police said, Noor was killed at a house in the F-7 area of federal capital, adding that she was hit with a sharp object. A friend of the girl accused of murdering her has been arrested and is said to be the son of a business tycoon, police said.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, the police said.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri condemned the murder of ex diplomat’s daughter and expressed his condolences.
