ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi rejecting the PTI government proposal about e-voting said that there was no need for electoral reform.
Talking to media in Islamabad, PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that building an electronic voting machine was not the job of the government and parliament.
He said that the country should be run according to the constitution, there is no need for reforms and added that it was the prerogative of the Election Commission to create an electronic system, not the circus players of the government.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that electronic voting machine is not the solution to the problems, this machine will create more problems. Shahid Khaqan said neither Shahbaz Sharif formed PDM, nor did he break it, PDM is a narrative, he added.
