Another KDA officer sent jail on judicial remand 

KAARCHI Dec 31,2021- The court ordered the release of Asif Memon, Director General of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) on Friday.

A case of abuse of power was heard against arrested DG KDA Asif Ali Memon in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge South in Karachi.

The court released the arrested accused Asif Memon while discharging the case.

The court ordered Asif Memon to submit a bond of Rs one lakh.

The court sent another accused Atif to jail on judicial remand.

Talking to media after the hearing, Asif Memon said “thank God, I have been acquitted of this case.”

The journalist asked if there was retaliation against you or it was because you were not part of the system, to which the DG KDA indicated to remain silent on the question.

It may be mentioned that Director General Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Asif Ali Memon and three other officers were arrested by Anti-corruption Police on illegal allotment of lands and a case was registered against them.
