Delegation of Mediators meets with MQM leaders

KARACHI, Mar 27,2023 -A delegation of mediators led by Akhtar Hussain Advocate met MQM leaders here on Sunday. MQM leaders welcomed the delegation and assured to play their role.

The delegation’s agenda was to convince to political parties to sit together and open dialogue to resolve the political crisis.

MQM leaders said that democracy cannot be strengthened without strengthening the local government system, strengthening the local government system and full powers should be part of the agenda.

The United leaders emphasized on a transparent census in the discussion with the delegation of mediators and said that reservations about the census should be placed before the People’s Party, PML-N and PTI.

The delegation of arbitrators included Mazhar Abbas, Ahmad Shah, Salahuddin Ahmed, Dr. Tauseef Ahmad Kahn, Javed Qazi, Asad Butt, Qazi Khizr, and Mehnaz Rehman.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, Mustafa Kamal, Nasreen Jalil and Aminul Haque also joined the discussion in the meeting on behalf of MQM
