Government holds talks with TLP
Early Monday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed announced in a video message that the government had started talks with the TLP. The second round of talks will begin after sehri.

KARACHI: Prominent religious scholar of Pakistan Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman and religious leaders of Ulema-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat have announced a nationwide strike on Monday, against the Lahore incident.

They appealed for a peaceful wheel jam and shutter down strike across the country.

He addressing a press conference after a joint meeting of Sunni scholars and Sunni organizations at Darul Uloom Amjadia.

Mufti Muneeb appealed the businessmen that the Stock exchange should also be closed tomorrow and expected traders and transporters to co-operate.

He demanded immediate release of protesters from police stations and jails on personal bail and withdrawal of all FIRs, without which it would not be reasonable to expect a peaceful solution to the problem.

Meanwhile, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazul Rehman and JI head Maulana  Sirajulhaq also extended their support to Mufti Muneeb.
