Consumers Court seeks reply from PTCL for overcharging internet bill

KARACHI Sep 2021- The Consumers Court South Karachi on Tuesday has sought reply from PTCL by September 23, in a case of overcharging internet bill.

The Consumers court had issued notice earlier but no reply was submitted by PTCL. The consumer court reissued the notice and sought reply from PTCL by September 23.

Advocate Sohail Channa said consumer got unlimited internet connection from PTCL for Rs. 1799. But the PTCL imposes additional charges of Rs 200 on the bill. He took the position that it was illegal to charge an additional Rs 200.

The position taken by PTCL is that there is a limit of 1000 GB, the petitioner said.

Advocate Suhail while unlimited means unlimited usage, therefore PTCL should be fined for collecting additional charge in internet bill.
