Chinese police to provide technical help to investigate Karachi University incident
The Chinese police will provide technical support to Sindh government to investigate into the suicide attack of Karachi University.
The Chinese delegation headed by Deputy Director General of CTD China, Mr. Gao Fei met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday.
In the meeting, Consul General Li Bijian, Police Counselor Chinese Embassy Li Qingchun and others also participated, while from Sindh government Chief Secretary, IG Police, Additional IGC TD, Special Secretary were present along with CM Sindh
The meeting discussed the security of the Chinese nationals regarding the work in the province and also security on China’s National Day.
China is working on the CPEC project in Sindh, said the spokesperson of the Chief Minister of Sindh
The Chinese delegation also discussed the Karachi University suicide attack with the Sindh Chief Minister. On the occasion, the Chinese delegation assured technical support from the Chinese police in the suicide attack.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah told the delegation that the Chinese are our long-time friends and the Karachi University incident has caused a lot of pain to him.

Sindh Chief Minister Karachi University incident is being investigated, however said, If Chinese experts want to help in this investigation, it will be a pleasure.
The delegation of China assured cooperation to strengthen CTD and Special Branch of Sindh technically.
Four people including three Chinese nationals were killed and two other injured in bomb blast in outside Confucius Institute of Karachi University, on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the university confirmed that three of the victims were Chinese nationals. They were identified as Confucius Institute Director Huang Guiping, Ding Mupeng, Chen Sai and Khalid, the driver. Two of the injured were identified as Wang Yuqing and Hamid.
The van carrying Chinese nationals who are said to be faculty of Confucius Institute, appeared to be turning towards the institute, located next to the commerce department, when the incident took place.
Blast was suicidal attack
Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon has shown the possibility that the blast was a suicidal attack, according to preliminary reports that a burqa-covered woman may have been involved.
Karachi police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon said that it was unfortunate that teachers had been targeted. Speaking to the media, he said that four others had been injured, including a Chinese national, a private security guard and a Rangers personnel.
