Chairman Senate sent Supreme Court Rules and Procedures bill to the President

ISLAMABAD, Mar 30,2023- Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani sent the Supreme Court Rules and Procedures Bill to the President Dr. Arif Alvi on Thursday.

After the signature of the President, it will become a regular Act of Parliament.

Prior to this, a Senate meeting was held under the chairmanship of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, in which a bill related to judicial reforms was approved. 60 votes were cast in favor of the bill and 19 were opposed.

The Senate rejected the motion to hand over the bill on Supreme Court Practice and Procedure to the Standing Committee and accepted the motion to pass the bill immediately.

Apart from this, the Senate had approved the bill for the welfare and protection of the lawyers and the coordination bill for the inter-boards. (Agencies)
