Bollywood actress Alexandra Djavi found dead in Goa

Russian born Bollywood actress Alexandra Djavi was found dead at her apartment in Goa on Friday.

According to media reports, Alexandra Djavi was found hanging at her rented apartment, where she was living with her boyfriend.

Police said the actress-model was ‘mentally disturbed’ and was under medication.

Alexandra Djavi, 24 was in Goa on tourist visa.

Police is waiting for the autopsy report to ascertain the cause of the death.

The police have indicated that Djavi may have committed suicide.

Indian media also reported that the model-actress had filed a complaint against a photographer in Chennai for sexual harassment in 2019.

Alexandra Djavi lived in Chennai to pursue her acting career.

Reportedly, the actress was found hanging in a room with the door latched from inside on Friday.

Goa Police had written to the Russian Embassy to appoint formal representatives to process medico-legal formalities. Russian consulate had informed the reporters that the late actress’ post mortem would be conducted soon after the family of the deceased gave consent.

Alexandra Djavi was born in Moscow, Russia. She moved to Mumbai to pursue a modelling career. Later she relocated to Chennai, Tamil Nadu for her acting career.

She started her career with the Tamil movie Kanchana 3 which was directed by Raghava Lawrence.
