Bilawal Bhutto Zardari unveils 10-point plan for national progress
Larkana, Dec 27, 2023: Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has presented a comprehensive 10-point agenda aimed at addressing the nation’s challenges and alleviating the hardships faced by its people.
Speaking at a historic public gathering on the 16th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal asserted that the successful implementation of these points, embedded in the PPP’s election manifesto, could significantly mitigate inflation, unemployment, and poverty.
In his address, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed his political rivals, affirming the PPP’s readiness to contest elections fearlessly. He emphasized the party’s commitment to confronting challenges and expressed determination to secure victory.
Highlighting the significance of the PPP’s historical achievements over the past 16 years, Bilawal underscored the restoration of the constitution, provincial autonomy through the NFC award, the establishment of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), and the removal of a former dictator from power as key milestones.
Asserting that the PPP is the party best equipped to address the country’s challenges, Bilawal declared, “Today where Pakistan is standing, it is standing in difficulty, and the people are suffering.” He stressed the need for the PPP to come into power for the effective resolution of public issues.
Bilawal urged political parties to participate in timely elections and advocated for a collective focus on genuine issues rather than internal disputes. He dismissed the old politics of previous leaders, asserting that the PPP would triumph in the elections by ushering in a new era.
Presenting the 10-point agenda for the upcoming polls on February 8, Bilawal outlined key priorities. These include doubling salaries over the next five years, establishing green energy parks at the district level, providing free electricity to poor families, ensuring quality education nationwide, and offering free world-class health facilities.
Other aspects of the agenda involve the ‘Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar Program’ to provide 3 million Pakka houses to homeless families, expanding the BISP, introducing the Kisan Card for direct subsidy transfer to farmers, and unveiling the Benazir Mazdoor Card for all workers. Additionally, the Youth Card will financially support educated unemployed youth, and ‘Bhook Mittaao Program’ will combat inflation.
Closing his address, Bilawal expressed his commitment to fighting in Lahore, dispelling attempts to keep the PPP away from Punjab politics. The crowd resonated with chants of ‘Prime Minister Bilawal’ as he proposed presenting his motion regarding the upcoming election in the joint CEC meeting of PPP and PPP-P.
