Attack on Imran Khan: Police not to register case on PTI leader's application

The police have decided not to register a case on the first request of PTI leader Zubair Niazi in the case of attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.

Police sources said that there has been deadlocked since days on the text of the FIR. During the deadlock, the parties contacted each other four times, but the police did not back down from their stand.

Sources have said that on the concerns of the police, the complainant party has asked for respite twice for consultation.

Police sources also said that if there is further delay, the case will be registered on behalf of the state. The process of consultation with the legal branch and legal experts has also been started to register the case.

It should be noted that on November 3, during PTI’s long march, Imran Khan was attacked in Wazirabad, in which PTI Chairman was injured.

One person was killed and 13 people including the PTI chairman and other leaders were injured in the incident.

The shooter was later caught near the container who also confessed to firing on Imran Khan.
