KARACHI, 29,2021 – Preparations have been completed for the public meeting, a power show of Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) to be held near Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi on Sunday evening.
This is first power show public gathering in Sindh where in PPP is missing, which had been issued show cause notice few months back. Likewise Awami National Party is not participating in opposition parties’ public meeting.
As preparations of public gathering started PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari left for four day visit of Sindh.
The security of the public meeting is entrusted to the volunteers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) for which 10,000 volunteers are ready who are being deployed on the internal and external routes of the venue.
The public meeting will start at 4.PM
A large stage has been set up with a seating capacity of at least 500 people. The venue and stage have been decorated with flags of PDM member political parties. Political leaders among the organizers claim that 100,000 seats are being set up in the venue.
A VVIP path has been prepared behind the stage for the party leadership, also facilitating the leaders to come to the stage in a car.
Separate stages have been set up for the media to cover the meeting. Media representatives and their vehicles will also be able to enter the venue through a specific route.
The public meeting participants and party workers will enter the venue from the Numaesh Chowk.
Ablution rooms and temporary washrooms have also been set up in the hall, while temporary canteens for food and drink have also been set up.
Although the meeting is held during in the day time, however light towers all around the stage and in the have been installed, which indicates that the meeting may continue till late at night.
Heavy contingents of Karachi East Police has been deployed for the security duty of the rally, as well as a traffic police has been deployed to handle the traffic system in and around Mazar-e-Quaid.
Shara-e-Qaedin, Lines Area, MA Jinnah Road and other roads leading to Numaish Chowrangi will be closed to traffic.
A heavy contingent of Sindh Police Special Security Unit has also been deployed for the security of the rally.
