7 people arrested for holding 3 police official hostage in Rani Bagh

HYDERABAD, Jul 12,2022- Even people were arrested who took the head constable and two officials hostage.

The head constable and two police officials arrived to intervene the fight, but the armed men took them hostage.

According to the police, there was a report of a clash between two groups over a trivial matter in the funland area of Rani Bagh.

Additional police arrived and freed the hostage officials and arrested seven people from the conflicting parties.

Police claimed that weapons snatched from the officials and cash Rs80, 000 were recovered from the accused persons.

The Rani Bagh, a zoological garden the only public park in Hyderabad City. The garden was re-christened in honour of Queen Victoria. But now it is not in good condition. However people throng to this spot, in absence of any amusement place in second biggest city of the province.

Rani Bagh is divided into four parts. The four parts included Eidgah, the Abbas Bhai Park, zoo and lawns, children parks, jogging tracks, artificial lake on 50,000-square-feet for boating purposes and parking area.
