30 people killed as bus collides with truck in DG Khan
DG Khan – Jul 19,2021- A Rajanpur bound passenger bus coming from Sialkot collided head-on with a truck on Taunsa Road in Dera Ghazi Khan, killing 30 people and injuring 35 others.
The condition of most of the injured is stated critical.
According to District Emergency Officer Rescue Dr Nayyar Alam, 75 passengers were on board the bus, of which more than 60 were injured. All the injured were shifted to teaching hospital.
Rescue sources said the bus and trailer had been removed from the scene and traffic had been restored.
Thirty people have lost their lives in this traffic accident near Dera Ghazi Khan.
Federal information minister Fawad Chaudhry has expressed sorrow on the accident and said in a tweet that, when will we as a nation realize that violation of traffic rules is fatal? Public transport drivers are the trustees of people’s lives.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar lamented the loss of lives in the Taunsa traffic accident.
