ISLAMABAD, Feb 23,2022- The Supreme Court has issued a two-page summary order in the Sobia Batol kidnapping case. The order said that the recovery of 151 abducted girls was revealed during the abduction case in the Supreme Court.
According to the Supreme Court order, DPO Sargodha Dr Rizwan disclosed the recovery of 151 girls and said that the girls were abducted for sexual exploitation.
The order said, DPO Sargodha stated said that 21 more girls were rescued from brothels.
The DPO told the court that FIRs were registered from 2018 to 2022 after recovery. The apex court said in the order that it was hoped that Sobia Batool would be recovered soon. IG Punjab should give quarterly report in this regard.
The order said that the increasing incidents of abduction of girls proved the indifference of the Punjab Police, which was a bad reflection of its past performance. The court said that the abduction of young girls for shameful exploitation shows the indifference of Punjab police.
Four accused of gang rape case arrested
It is unfortunate that so many girls could not be traced in a long time.
The Supreme Court said that the girls could have been rescued through a soft operation in a short span of time, adding that there was a need to improve the performance of police in Punjab.
