15 officers held responsible for Ghotki railway accident

The Inquiry report of Ghotki railway accident has held 15 officers have been held directly responsible.

Millat Express and Sir Syed Express collided near Dharki and an inquiry was launched to ascertain reasons of the accident.

In the inquiry report, 4 officers including DS Pakistan Railways Sukkur have been held indirectly responsible.

Railway authorities have ordered action against the nominees in the inquiry report.

Dahrki rail accident: death toll rose to 51 

Secretary Pakistan Railways has issued a letter against the officers and staff responsible for the accident.

The Secretary Railways and the Chairman Railways directed the General Manager Railways to take action against those responsible.

It may be recalled that on June 7, 66 people were killed in the Millat Express and Sir Syed Express accidents. 10 bogies of the Millat Express from Karachi to Punjab derailed.

The Sir Syed Express from Punjab to Karachi collided with derailed bogies.
