10 prisoners escape from judicial lockup in Lahore

LAHORE Dec 06,2021- The 10 prisoners who appeared in the Model Town court in Lahore escaped from judicial lockup on Monday.

According to sources, the police did not make any effort to stop the prisoners from escaping.

According to the police, 10 prisoners including three of Kot Lakhpat Jail have escaped.

Police said that Haider Ali, Faisal and Ahmed were among the prisoners of Camp Jail. Five fugitives of Camp Jail were involved in robbery cases. The accused Ian, Adil and Sohail have also escaped.

A police spokesman said that two teams have been formed headed by SSP Operations.

SSP Operations said that 166 prisoners were brought from two jails who were lodged in judicial lockup. Two groups of prisoners clashed, after which the prisoners escaped.

Police said that two of the escaped prisoners have been captured.

SSP Operations said that accused of theft, robbery, drug trafficking have escaped and negligence of duty officers and personnel is also being investigated.
